What Is Papa's Sushiria?
Papa's Sushiria is the 13th installment in Flipline Studios' beloved Papa Louie restaurant series. Set in the seaside town of Sakura Bay, you play as either Edward or Clover, hired to run Papa's newest sushi venture. The game blends Japanese-inspired cuisine with the signature Flipline gameplay loop: take orders, prepare dishes, and serve customers as quickly and accurately as possible to earn tips, level up, and unlock dozens of ingredients, toppings, and decorations.
Gameplay Overview
The game is divided into four core stations, each requiring its own skill set. Mastering the rhythm between them is the key to high tips and happy customers.
The Four Stations
- Order Station: Greet customers and take their custom sushi roll and tea orders.
- Cook Station: Boil rice to the perfect doneness using a timed bar — undercooked or burnt rice tanks your score.
- Build Station: Lay out nori, spread rice, add fillings, roll the sushi, and slice it into the requested number of pieces.
- Tea Station: Brew loose-leaf tea, add milk and flavorings, then top it off with bubbles, jellies, or foam to match the ticket.
Tips for High Scores
Master the Rice Timer
Rice quality is one of the most heavily weighted scoring factors. Pull the pot off the heat the instant the marker hits the green zone — overcooking is the most common reason players lose points at the Build Station.
Use Holiday Ingredients
Each in-game holiday unlocks themed ingredients that certain customers specifically request. Serving a Cherry Blossom Festival regular their seasonal favorite during the event is an easy way to earn perfect scores and bigger tips.
Multitask Between Stations
Don't wait for one order to finish before starting the next. While rice is boiling, head to the Build Station to assemble a previous order, or start brewing tea for a waiting customer.
Upgrade Smart
Spend your earnings on upgrades that reduce wait penalties first — like the Mitsuba Plant or extra seating — before splurging on cosmetic decorations.
Unlockables and Progression
As you level up, you'll unlock new fillings (tuna, eel, crab), wrappers (soy paper, pink soy paper), tea leaves, bubbles, and toppings. The game features a roster of closer customers — VIPs with unique demanding orders that test your mastery of the menu.
